Property Discussion (watch the video)

In this session we held a discussion with David Kenney of Hall Chadwick and Chris Gray of Your Empire. We started by discussing David’s experience around maximising the value of a business and how to realise this when the time is right. The discussion then flowed to Chris to talk about various strategies on how to build a property portfolio, and how this can be an achievable goal for someone who is living in Sydney.

Crypto Discussion

This session has been designed to be an educational introduction to digital assets and demystify the media hype that surrounds them. If you are not sure what to believe when it comes to people becoming millionaires off something called doge-coin, or a pixelated monkey image selling for millions, this session is for you!

Expect an educational conversation around crypto currencies, blockchain, NFT’s and all things digital so that you can come to your own conclusion on what the future holds in this space.

Federal Court Decision on Employer’s Failure to Pay Annual Leave Entitlements

  The Federal Court of Australia recently ruled on a case involving an employer’s failure to pay a worker’s accrued annual leave entitlements upon termination, underscoring the importance of compliance with the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and the severe repercussions of non-compliance. Case Background The case focused on the worker’s claims that the employer had dismissed him for exercising his “workplace rights,” imposed unreasonable working hours, and failed to pay his accrued entitlements upon termination. The court found the employer in breach of section 90(2) of the Fair Work Act for not paying the worker the amount equivalent to his accrued but untaken annual leave when his employment ended on December 9, 2021. The owed amount of $8,022.82 was paid only on March 30, 2022, nearly three months after the termination.
